Hear ye, hear ye! Finally the cover art for my first full-length collection is here! Fuchsia will be published in the Spring 2016 by the University of Nebraska Press, as part of the African Poetry Book Series.
If you’d like to get a sampling of what’s included in the book, you can read these poems: Blood Disparities, She says they come at night…, E is for Eden, Something Sleeps in the Mud-Beds of the Nile, Song of the Dead, Synesthesia.
While you wait, I encourage you to order a copy of my tiny tiny chapbook with fiery poems, Behind Walls & Glass, to be published soon by Finishing Line Press. Coincidentally, I am happy to report that the poem Behind Walls & Glass has been accepted for publication in Tia Chucha Press Anthology “Coiled Serpent: Poets Arising from the Cultural Quakes & Shifts in Los Angeles.” The anthology will be out just in time for AWP Los Angeles!
